Nexium (Esomeprazole) is a prescription medication used to treat at least 3 conditions: 1. Esophageal cancer 2. Gastric and esophageal ulcers 3. Pneumonia and other types of pneumonia * Stop taking Nexium if you suspect you have any of the conditions listed above. Nexium is not intended for use by women. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.How to use Nexium (Esomeprazole)Take this medication as directed by your doctor, usually in the morning. Swallow the capsules whole, with a full glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew the capsules. Take this medication at the same time every day. Do not take Nexium more often than once a day. Keep taking this medication even if you feel better. Do not discontinue this medication without consulting your doctor.
Nexium (Esomeprazole) is usually taken with or without food. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Directions
Directions for use: Take one tablet once a day. Do not exceed this dose. The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush the tablets. May take 2-3 days for full effect. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, contact your doctor. Read the package leaflet before use. Oral use. Storage recommendation: Do not store above 30°C. Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Many people with heartburn do experience mild symptoms of acid reflux without any side effects. Tell your doctor if you have any further chest pain or difficulty. This medicine can also help with indigestion. Indigestion is caused by the stomach getting too much acid. This medicine can also help with indigestion because it stops acid production. Do not use Nexium Control if you have heartburn, acid reflux or indigestion. Call your doctor for medical advice about symptoms or about treatment.
